You can arrange a free ‘Meet & Greet’ with Andrew & Cathy at the start of your first event to welcome you into the group and put you at your ease. Andrew & Cathy host many of the events in person and will do their best to help you feel welcome and included!

In 1997 we set up the world's first modern style 'social' organisation, which was completely groundbreaking and revolutionary at the time. YES! The whole "SOCIAL NETWORKING" thing that's become a global phenomena was our own original idea. We started this project to aim to bring people together, 7 years before Facebook and 10 years before Twitter. Over the years, we have enabled many thousands of local people to have a great time and make more friends! We are now told we are "Social Entrepreneurs" and "Social Media Celebrities" and that our "Social Enterprise" has started something really special! Wow, to have had such an impact - it's quite a thought!

A large number of our members are single, as the whole point is to provide something that you can go out to by yourself and have a ready-made ‘group of friends’ to socialise with, with hundreds of people from a variety of professions. Some events are aimed more for younger ages (20's, 30's, 40's), some for older ages (40's, 50's, 60's), and some for a mixture of ages. We have members in each age group, so you should find there are people of the right age for you!
Not everyone who joins is looking to find romance. If you are just looking to make some friends and try new things, that’s absolutely fine. We are not a ‘dodgy dating agency’ or ‘sad singles-only club’. We are a respectable socialising organisation, which has proven to be a much better and much nicer way to meet people and make new friends.
If you are looking for romance and hoping to meet that special someone, membership is ideal. If you join a dating agency, you get to meet up with just one person at a time, so it is unlikely that will be the perfect someone. While we offer the opportunity to meet hundreds of people of both sexes, all in a more natural and relaxed environment - so the odds of meeting that special someone for you are so much better!
Ours is a socialising organisation that is enjoyed by both singles and couples! Married couples join us looking to expand their social circle, and other couples have met through the group and still enjoy taking part with all their other Social Group friends. There’s all sorts of events and activities for both singles and couples to enjoy and join in with!
